Hi, I'm Danit
pronounced: (Dah - neet)
A trusted ally on your educational journey
Providing a helping hand and having fun while doing it has always been in my DNA.
As a UCLA and UC Riverside trained, Association of Educational Therapists-credentialed mindful Educational Therapist, I feel grateful that my desire to serve others has transformed into a career I love: helping clients approach their educational journey with confidence.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve been supporting students in overcoming their school-related struggles through:
-
Cross-curriculum subject remediation
-
Executive function and study skills coaching
-
Mindfulness-based social-emotional learning
As part of my career, I’ve been fortunate to travel and work with children around the world. As I collaborated with more students of different cultures and backgrounds, I noticed the link between strong social-emotional skills and successful learning.
My travels eventually led me to mindfulness and meditation - the perfect tools for building these skills and alleviating anxiety at the same time.
Now back in LA, I am aligning my multiple passions through a private practice that supports:
-
Effective and engaging education for the 21st century
-
Cultivating social and emotional health
-
Developing skills for self-empowerment and independence

As an expert in the field of education and wellness, I attained a Bachelor’s degree with Honors distinction from the University of Chicago, a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University, and a post-Master's credential in Educational Therapy from the University of California, Riverside.
To stay apprised of best practices and tools to offer students in their learning journey, I regularly participate in professional development training through:
-
Association for Educational Therapists
-
International Dyslexia Association
-
and other respected educational firms
As a mindfully-trained educator, I attained my Certification as a Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.
My mindfulness training allows me to provide science-based strategies for anxiety, stress reduction, and emotional regulation. These powerful techniques not only help students with their academic lives – they serve them well throughout their adult lives.
My holistic approach to education has provided families with a renewed sense of connection, optimism, and joy - regardless of the current schooling situation.
